Kremerata Baltica, Gidon Kremer and Yulianna Avdeeva in Chopin and His Europe Festival

Right after the visiting Germany, Kremerata Baltica and Gidon Kremer will be joined by the friend and soloist Yulianna Avdeeva to take part in the Chopin and His Europe Festival in Warsaw, Poland, on Friday night (August 17).


During the concert musicians will present the program „Schubert meets Silvestrov” consisting of Schubert’s “String Quartet No.12 (Quartet-Satz) in C minor D703”, Silvestrov’s “Five pieces for violin and piano”, Schubert’s “Sonatina for violin and piano No.2 in A minor, D.385 (aversion for violin and orchestra by Michail Tsinman)”.

The second part of the concert will be dedicated to the one and only Frederic Chopin himself. Audience will be provided with an opportunity to hear Chopin’s “Mazurka in A minor, Op. 17 No. 4” and “Nocturne in E major, Op. 62 No. 2 (both arr. by V.Kissine) followed by Chopin’s “Piano concerto in E minor, Op. 11” with Yulianna Avdeeva as soloist.
