During the May 24 concert at Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen Kremerata Baltica have invited 2 remarkable young soloists Sonoko Miriam Welde (violin) and Johan Dalene (violin) to perform a combination of classics and modern music. Audience will hear “Symphonie for strings and percussion” by Lepo Sumera (EE), “Violin Concerto in d-minor” by Felix Mendelssohn, “Lignum” by Jēkabs Jančevskis (LV), and “Double Concerto in d-minor” by Johann Sebastian Bach.
For the concert on May 25 at Haakon’s Hall Bergen Kremerata Baltica, Gidon Kremer and the soloist Sonoko Miriam Welde (violin) will be joined by Geir Draugsvoll (bayan), the energetic percussion group PERCelleh, Jarle Rotevatn (prepared piano) and the young and talented Lithuanian conductor Martynas Stakionis. Program: works by Pärt, Schnittke and Gubaidulina.
Kremerata’s last concert at this year’s Bergen Festival will take place on May 27 at Knarvik Church together with Sonoko Miriam Welde (violin). As always, the concert will feature a brand new program to highlight the works by Ciurlionis, Mendelssohn and Piazzolla.
